What makes us different

Childhood and real learning, not one or the other

Demand for daycare in Arlington keeps growing, but too often a center can only manage one of two things. Either it lets a child enjoy childhood and develop naturally, or it drills academics hard so the test scores look good later.

Lil' Images of Blessings is different. We promote physical activity, a wide variety of educational activities, and arts and crafts, so your child can unleash their full creative and intellectual potential. Our goal is to promote every child's development individually, using an appropriate mix of academic and recreational activities.

Our philosophy, in one line

We provide experiences that enrich and support each child's spiritual, cognitive, social, emotional, physical and creative development.

Within the daily schedule, each child gets the chance to create, explore, learn problem solving and apply Christian principles. Through a balance of self directed and teacher directed activities, children are motivated to develop a positive self concept. There are opportunities for group activities and for solitary play.

It is our desire to bring out the leader in every child.

“And a little child shall lead them

Isaiah 11:6

Our focus is on the uniqueness of each child as a child of God. Staff members are dedicated to teaching children about Christ's everlasting love and grace, and to modeling His example while they do it.

What makes this a Christian learning center?

Every classroom has Jesus time built into the day, and Chapel is held on Wednesdays. Children learn to pray before meals, older children help lead the younger ones, and Christian principles are applied inside ordinary activities rather than saved for a single lesson. See how that works room by room.

Parents and staff together

Teamwork is important to us

We promote integrated learning by creating a partnership between families and staff. We respect parents as the primary and most important provider of care and nurturing for their child.

Successful teamwork between parents and educators matters because it shows up directly in the child's development. That is why there is constant interaction between parents and educators here as we plan excursions, common activities and parties.

It is up to all of us, parents included, to encourage our children to build their own personal development, independence and creativity. Together, we can prepare your child for the wonderful life that lies ahead.

Want to get involved?

We are always grateful for support above and beyond the call of duty. Field trips, classroom parties and center events all run better with parents in them.
